What is Bildr?

Bildr is a low-code app builder that creates web apps, software solutions, and websites for internal business apps like project management tools, CRM boards, etc.

While it features several simple no-code functionalities, like a seamless drag-and-drop editor for frontend construction and an easy-to-configure NoSQL database, bringing some technical skills will enable you to get the most out of the platform. For instance, knowing how APIs work and how to configure backend logic will allow you to unleash Bildr’s full potential.

Bildr Pricing Tiers

Bildr’s 6 pricing tiers cater to businesses of all sizes, from freelancers just starting out to established Fortune 500s.

Explore (Free)

Get your feet wet with the Explore Plan for free. You’ll be able to learn and tinker with the building interface at your own pace, as you won’t be tied down with the constraints of a limited-time trial.

While the plan only allows for one designer, you can release a web app under Bildr’s subdomain that an unlimited number of users can access. This means you can create a prototype, publish it, get as much feedback as you want, and then adjust it to perfection.

With up to 1 GB of bandwidth, 20,000 data records, and 5,000 API calls, you can build various web projects, including SaaS products, Chrome extensions, and web3 dApps. Leveraging the Explore Plan is an excellent way to learn Bildr and release a startup app or MVP (minimum viable product).

Launch ($29/month billed monthly)

Want to release a larger, more capable app than the Explore Plan allows? The Launch Plan is for you: You get more resources than the free tier, like 25 GB of bandwidth, 50,000 data records, and 50,000 API calls. And you can onboard a buddy — this plan allows up to 2 builders.

You’ll also be able to connect your own domain and remove the Bildr branding, so your app will be congruent with your band and logo. This means you can release a professional-looking and functioning app.

Pro ($119/month billed monthly)

Supporting up to 5 builders, making it suitable for collaborative projects, the Pro Plan offers much more power: 250 GB of bandwidth, 250,000 data records, and 500,000 API calls, allowing you to create large apps and engage more users.

Ultimately, The Pro Plan lets teams develop more complex apps with advanced features.

If you need to develop sophisticated web applications that require complex logic and need to publish updates incrementally, the Pro Plan might be for you.

Scale (Starting at $500/month billed monthly)

If you’re a medium-sized or above business that requires robust infrastructure to support high-traffic applications and scaling, this plan is for you. You’ll also get customized bandwidth and database storage — you’ll even have the option to self-host on your own servers.

Enterprise (Custom Pricing)

Bildr's Enterprise Plan is designed for enormous organizations seeking advanced features, like the ability to create unlimited projects and other tools and services to meet the complex needs of a large company.

Like the Scale Plan, you can customize your bandwidth and database records to meet your needs. You’ll also be able to host on-prem if you have your own servers, bolstering your scalability and security.

Importantly, you’ll get a dedicated support agent to ensure everything hums like a well-oiled machine and answer your questions as they arise.

Studio Pass (One-Time Payment of $999)

Got custom domains and want to use them to build unlimited websites and web apps with Builder? The Studio Pass might be a great choice — you’ll get all the Pro Plan's Studio features combined with the Launch Plan's hosting limits (25 GB of bandwidth and 50,000 monthly API calls).

You’ll also receive priority support to ensure problems get resolved fast. Additionally, if you’re in the Web3 or Blockchain industries, listen to this: The Studio Pass provides pre-designed, customizable components and templates specifically crafted for Web3 applications, such as decentralized apps (dApps), blockchain-integrated platforms, or crypto-related services.

Is Bildr Worth It?

Now that you know some of the primary features you’ll get with each pricing tier, it’s time to decide if Bildr is the right platform for you. Take the following into consideration:

  • Your tech skills: Because Bildr is a low-code platform, you’ll need to bring some tech skills. Bildr might be a little too much if you're a complete beginner. But if you have some API knowledge and time to learn the building interface, you’ll have some serious power at your fingertips.
  • Organizational size: With a nearly $100 price gap between the Launch and Pro plans and at least a $400 gap between the Pro and Scale plans, Bildr’s pricing tiers are pretty rigid. This means that Bildr’s Pro Version can be a good option for tiny outfits on a budget, and it also has the power to meet the needs of large organizations with deep pockets.

Yet, if you’re growing from small to medium size, the lower-tier Bildr version might not have enough power, and the higher-up tiers could present some budgetary challenges.

  • Number of app builders and app users on your team: Unlike many other low-code app builders, Bildr doesn’t charge a per-editor rate — you’ll pay a flat fee for a set number of builders and app users.

If you have a small development team, Bildr could be an attractive option — especially since each tier allows for a maximum number of builders and unlimited users.
